Jay Stark, DC
23 years experience as a practicing chiropractor
22 years in Ortonville
Graduated Cum Laude, D.C. Palmer College of Chiropractic
Member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors
Continuing education classes taken annually
Played professional hockey, was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in 1986 and played for the Flint Spirits of the I.H.L. in 1989
I became a chiropractor because of my own personal experiences. My mother started taking me to a chiropractor at the age of 12. Throughout my hockey career, I had many injuries, and teams back then did not have team chiropractors.
Thankfully because of my experience with chiropractic when I was young, I knew to seek chiropractic care on my own (Thanks Mom!). If I had not, my career would have been over. Chiropractic care was the key to keeping me going.
I utilize in my practice today many of the things I learned back then. I understand the importance of all forms of health care, and do not hesitate to refer people to other health care providers when needed. The main goal of our office is to help people get their quality of life back and excel in all they do.
Chiropractic care changed my life.
We provide a caring, professional environment to help as many people as possible change their lives, too.
McKenna Tuckfield • Biller and Office Manager
McKenna has been a patient since 2013 when she came in for spinal decompression. She attended college for medical billing, then after graduating she worked under our long-time biller, Kimber. She is well versed in insurance terminology and billing procedures. She personally contacts the insurance provider and individually consults with our patients to guarantee there is a complete understanding of provided care, deductibles and copays. She is committed to taking the extra time for our patients to assure there are no unexpected fees, reducing billing times and limiting any unforeseen problems and potential rejections.
McKenna regularly attends needed seminars for insurance and Medicare benefits to help maintain accurate billing procedures and compliance with regulations.
When she’s not at work you can find McKenna outside with her animals or working on a house project. She and her husband have a German Shorthair Pointer, Henry; a horse, Beau; and a cat, Arrow.
